You are correct. I just installed the Inspire one in my TL. There are two pretty thick spacers you use. Also notice in the pic that the base is bolted down closer to the seats than the rear window. I first I thought that was dumb, but once its in its just fine. Looks nice and passed the wife test too.

Received that $35 rear sunshade from Ebay. Installed it...need 1/2" spacer to raise it up to clear sub but other than that, perfect fit. Good quality. Installed/raised, looks just like Inspired shade...mucho thx to the dude who posted the Ebay link ....saved me $150 from the Inspired one....Installation takes me 30 mins cuz I have to sit there and think of a spacer..I can install it now in 10 mins...hehe..

Thanks for that info randomwalk101. What is all the mounting hardware that came with it? The bolts are most likely not the same as I have. How long are the mounting bolts & how is the hardware mounted? I am asking all the question because as I said the hardware that came with what I have is not the same.
The shade I am 100% sure is the same as the one pictured & is the same as the Inspire.

Well, the hardware are some screws hooks etc. I'm sure it's different from the Inspires but works the same....the shade itself (roll) is almost identical. Looks like it is of good quality (heck, can't beat $35!!!) Anyhow, I had to use a piece of wood, cut to size and painted and use it as a spacer to raise the shade up. I bought two screws from home depot to install the roller (shade) down (the kind of screw where you fold then up, insert and once in, it expands and hold itself there...spring load and has two prongs....if you go to HD, you'll know what i'm talking about once you see it). All mounting surface has 3M double tapes and screw holes..I use the 3M tape and screwed them down too (over kill)
The damn thing will be there for ever.
I used some tan fell tape and taped around the wooden spacer making it look exactly like part of the rear deck for cosmetic reasons. I'm very satisfy with my $35 shade

Thanks again for all that good info. I am not in a rush to do it as I have had the shade almost 2yrs stored in the box. But I will get it done. We are expecting 4 to 8 inches of snow on Thursday so I don't think I need the shade. It will come in handy later in the spring & summer. My car sits parked in hot sun when its home. I have the front windshied heatshield that I got from this site. I need something for the back window because D.C. law only let you have 50% window for rear window. They also only let you have 75% on the sides. I have 45% on my sides but they don't mess with me because its not that dark. The inspection stations will get you but thats every 2yrs & I went thru last April & had to take off my tint on the sides to pass. I keep the back window at 50% so it will pass & not have to take it off. The shade will solve all my problems.
