for $300 buy some Megan headers. Headers give most HP increase by far over any bolt on for our cars (other than a supercharger or NOS).

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33631

Here they are $200 + shipping. For intakes...really wont get much, like aaronnn said the Comptech Icebox sounds basically stock but costs nearly $300 unless you can find a used one.

headers= #1 hp gain for ~300 (unles CT!!)
intake= #2 hp gain for ~200-250 (diff btw icebox and AEM/INJEN cai is >1hp. AEM=INJEN)

and soon to beat headers, CL-S/TL-S camshafts!! 260shipped, and i will have numbers to prove it in a week or two!! (read my thread)

ALL HEADERS ARE THE SAME...hp wise...

Durability + life warranty = comptech = 1200bux...nah fuk dat!
OBX - new gen Stainless steel ones seem to last, but ceramic ones lasted 1-2year
MEAGAN - nobody's had em long enough as to know anything

Ya fuck Comptech...I mean they could have lowered their price to like 600 or 700 and probably slod shit tons more, and there is no way it costs them near the $1200 MSRP to make them, so they could take a hit on profit some and sell many more...oh well, now most everyone has some other brand anyway.

you are forgetting something...you also need to get an apexi a/f controller as well. if you factor this cost in with the TL-S cams & dyno tuning, it is more than USD $300. headers is still the best bang for your dollar.

ummm headers dont make your car any louder at least not enough that it would turn you off from them, trust us, that is THE mod to get because you will feel like you have a new engine.

here is a link to the Icebox, yes it is an air intake, you will get less than 10 wheel HP increase - pretty much the best intake performance wise though

thats a negative for our engines...

- bolt ons for our cars:

headers
air intake
new crank pulley (search for this if you need more information)
you can get a full cat back exhaust custom made - or -
new mufflers (only add like 1-3 HP)

- other stuff that requires more knowledge than a weekend in your garage

some are starting to swap out for Type S camshafts and or Throttle bodies
NOS
then get all your mods professionally tuned

headers dont wear out...all they are is pipes welded together. install should be between $100 and $200

oh...tru, didnt think about that important detail...lets also consider the $200 headers installation (unless you DIY...i did) vs the $500 installation and tuning for the -S cams. (we dont know yet but i'm sure it'll be something like this.

and still, headers are not the best bang for the buck...Nos takes that price by a long shot...literally
