Bent my rim with Comptech springs on!!

Anyone else have trouble with their Comptech springs? I have Comptech springs, stock shocks, and I bent a rim on a relatively small pothole this past weekend. I'm trying to determine whether I need to spend money on struts or this was a freak accident.

Comptech springs have nothing to do with bending your rim. Profile of the tires, size of the hole and speed you were traveling when you hit the hole are the deciding factors.

drive on the hwy and see if the car vibrates at a certain cruising speed. that'd be a good indication that the tires/rims are not balanced or bent

Going on five months on comptech springs, with OEM struts, wheels and tires. Had it aligned after two weeks of installation date. Hit a couple of good size potholes and no bent wheels yet. You can avoid potholes, but sometimes you just can't avoid all of them, just like dings and scratches. The only problem that I had with comptechs was the drivers side near the wheel well was making a 'creaking' sound. Took it to a local shop and they lubed the ball joint. Been around three months and the noise hasn't returned.

What I'm asking is, have any of the other members had problems bottoming out with Comptech springs/Stock shock combo, or is the spring rate too stiff at the end of travel. I never had a problem with my stock rims, but then again the stock rims are a lot tougher.
