Before I clear my headlights...
hey just wondering, but what kind of bulbs should
i put in after i remove the yellow reflectors? I don't
think i want to keep the yellow signal bulbs anymore,
but i don't want to get white blinkers that have the
blue tint on it... i hope you guys know what i mean.
does anyone know if they make those chrome bulbs
for the front signals and what size i would need?
thanks, doing it on monday so hopefully i can figure
out what to put in before then.

For the corner bulbs, use M-14s (1157)
For the wedge bulbs, use M4s
Good luck!

1) Hyperwhites are the bulbs that produce white light, and no hint of blue.
2) Hyperwhite bulbs (i.e. flashing white lights) are legal as front turn signals.
Do the laws for legal car lights vary from state to state? Obviously it has to be a law that rear break lights are red, and this apllies everywhere. But, the legality of front turn signals seems blurry to me. The last thing I want to do is attract the cops because I have some illegal lights.
Can I get some clarification on this? This is really the only thing holding me back from clearing my headlights. Thanks.
edit: Forgot to mention I spend time in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. if that helps at all.

paxus...I believe that any clearing is illegal, but so? Also...I believe that white turn signals are very illegal, which is why I'm not doing it.
As for the bulb choices...I want to know about this too. I want to get a blue bulb that lights white for my corners, and a silver bulb that blinks amber for my turn signals...any suggestions?
and...thought I'd toss this ya'lls way...I frequent here...acura-cl...and acura world...and I noticed there's a pretty darn good writeup over on acura world's diy section of how to clear headlights...I'm gonna try that this weekend if I have time

I am pretty sure in your area is illegal to have tints and cleared headlights. It is the law to have a orange reflector in the front of the car. But I have been taking my chances here. No cops really bother me and I have "blue" bulbs in my highbeams and corner lights too. You have to take risks to make your ride pretty.

Ok, I've been putting off clearing my lights for a while now, and mostly out of ignorance of bulbs and legalities. Optimally I would like to take out that amber piece, remove the amber turn signal bulb and replace with a hyperwhite bulb. This is based on 2 assumptions:
1) Hyperwhites are the bulbs that produce white light, and no hint of blue.
2) Hyperwhite bulbs (i.e. flashing white lights) are legal as front turn signals.

To replace the signal bulbs, you will need to go through the fender well of the car. Read your manual, it should pics of how you car change bulbs. For the rear bulbs, you need to change through the trunk. And it is discussed in the owner's manual as well.

Hyperwhite bulbs are blue coated bulbs. The light they produce si white with a tinge of blue, so from up front when off they will make the headlight housing appear blue.
Those new APC's look nice, but the only problem is until wedges are made, you are going to have two completely different shades of orange right on top of each other at night when the lights are on. Regular old bulbs as everyone knows produces a light that is a little yellow in color, so that was perfect for me, and i have never been hastled over them ever.
