omg it was terrible guys. i dunno what this dood had but he also had 2 passangers, i was by myself. we were on the interstate n i was in 3rd gear, we were like right by each other then i just decided to punch it. he didn't at first so he got behind me, switched lanes, and hit it. i heard an intake at least but thats all i could tell he had, no exhaust. we were even until about 85 then he started to pull on me
i thought it would be an easy kill but he got me by like 3/4 of a car.
the other mods he had were black out headlights with HIDs, and lowered. i was gonna post n see if the dude is on av6.com but its down.
im so confused rite now

i got an AV6 w/black housing headlights, HID's, and lowered. saw a TL w/kit and passenger. i got exhaust though :p

 

Well TL has 225 and AV6 has 200...TL is heavier. I can understand if you were tied...but can't understand the he whoopped ur a$$! Exhaust ~ 2-3 HP...Ur passenger weight 200lb each?

where do you live? is urs a 4dr. av6? what kind of exhaust did you have, it might have been comptechs and they look stock, i dunno lol.

this wasnt an ordinary accord, he must have had headers or sprayed or somethin. i've beaten accords before too, but the one with passangers walked me.

Anyways, I've heard something about the gearing being different for the Av6 at highway speeds, which might have accounted for the difference, but I'm not exactly sure. If you have a TL-P and he has intake and even headers, I could see how it would have been a somewhat close race. But if you have a TL-S, he must have had some major stuff under the hood! I have an AV6 with Tl-S exhaust, comptech headers, intake, and UR pulleys and I can edge out my buddy's Tl-P on the highway and from a start. I tried it with my friend's TL-S and it didn't turn out quite so nicely

i haven't raced anybody cux i dun think i can beat the worst of cars, i actually think my TL is quite slow, but then everythings stock and i've only punched it to 5k rpm a couple times

 

ive never raced and dont plan to. i'd probably lose anyway haha. i live where u live but never seen your car around. u must live in the rich neighborhoods

for example the maxima aniversity edition had 255 hp instead of 227 hp.

Accord SE edition only comes with an inline 4 engine. There is no Accord V6 special edition.

 

oh really didnt know that.. i thought they had SE v6 accords but i guess im wrong.

there is no such thing as a "special edition" 6th gen V6 accord.....doesn't exist, in either coupe or sedan form.

 

word now i know its only for the 4cyl ones.

 

Other way around. The accord gets the least gains...while the type-S gets the most. It's all about the initial potential of the engine it's being bolted on to.

 

If he beat you by less than a car he definetly has I/H/E/P.

My friend has an AV6 with 80 shot (wet) /intake/exhast. Off the line I beat him by almost a car. Then when he hits nitrous in 2nd gear. All I hear is peeling out... He even chirps hard in 3rd! Beats me by 2 car lenths @100mph.
