Hi, i wanted to know if our 2000 Acura TL's suppose to have a battery cover. If yes, around how much do they go far & are they available on ebay.

 

yes they have a battery cover, check out acuraoemparts dot com to see if they have it

 

it came with one but if you go up a size in battery, the cover wont fit without some serious dremel modification

It doesnt hurt for it not to be there, may allow more battery cooling with it off too

Be sure the POS terminal is fully covered
the idea being if the hood should come in contact with top of battery in a crash or rollover- it doesnt turn the entire car into a hot wire looking for a ground IE: first rescue person to touch the car

 

look at local junkyard- now called auto dismantler and recyling

Jus' called Luciani Acura in Montreal, & found 1 for CAD $5.83.
