Battery

With Winter approaching, I had battery checked and was fine. It is a Group 25 Sears Gold Diehard installed exactly 5 yrs ago. With that age, does it make sense to just go ahead and replace it now? Seems this brand battery has been fine in all my cars but anyone have any other rec's?

Why change it with winter coming? They like the cold.

Batteries here in AZ don't last more than 3 years.

it was ckd for fluid level, static volts, charging volts, cranking amps/recovery from cranking
on a machine? with numbers? at a parts store or shop?
5 years is awesome life from normal batts these days
3-4 is average

if its fine by all the test, dont sweat it right now
better to replace the battery cables and ground cable system for engine to frame

winter does put the hurt on batteries with more electrical draw for more hours each day, driving in longer darkness = lights, heat, seat heat, tunes on more,,thats a lot of amp draw
and the alternator must be able to replace all that use immediatly

If the battery has been load-tested ok, there is nothing to worry about.
