Battery
It all depends you should get 2 or more years out of it.
With my 94 ACCORD that was brand new when I got it the battery lasted about 3yrs. This was with an aftermarket alarm system put in the week after I got the car. The car just sounded strange cranking one day so I thought about going to get a new battery. I then said no I would do it some other day then I changed my mine again. I went back to the car 10 mins later & it made that tick tick sound when the battery is gone. I kept trying to get it to turn over & it did. I went to Sears & to get a new one.
With my 90 Accord I changed it at 3yrs then got rid of the for the 94 Accord. With my 1980 Prelude straight out of Japan the OEM Japan battery last 7yrs. I think I am going to change the battery with the TL this summer it is 2yrs old now. so I will wait for a sale & get one. I just don't won't to be caught out in the cold next winter maybe with a dead battery. The battery can also go in the heat of the summer.I was told buy a service advisor & battery guy at Sears that the OEM batteries can go anytime after 2yrs.
So if you plan to keep the car 5 years you are going to have to put a new one in anyway.
