BALLJOINT + REAR STABILIZER problem?
Hey guys... i just went to get an oil change done @ ACura.. and like usual, they always have something to comment on and this time they quoted me for 800$ worth of labour/parts without tax for 2 things...
this is what they said:
Front lower ball joints have EXCESSIVE PLAY!
Rear Stabilizer Links starting to GO!
now i don't have a clue of what those are... i kinda have an idea .... when i drive.. i do very sharp turns and like i usually mention how my car is so shaky due to the tires, can these be the problem?
can someone with some good knowledge please help me out.. i really don't want to pay 800$ + tax if i don't need too... and i don't mind changing them @ a cheaper price if its 100% neccesary. thanks

Wow, all those freeway miles have beaten your car up!
Take it to an independant shop and have it checked and repaired for half the price.
The worn ball joints will shake your tires like there is no tomorrow.
End links connect the sway bar to the chassis
Always get a 2nd opinion

end links are cheap and you can install them your self. Ball joints arent that bad either, but often require a shop to press out the old and new ones. That could explain your "shaky" issue

ya i was reading about this right. and i guess tahts y my car is so shaky on lil bumps and uneven roads.. so i'll be fixing this ASAP.. perhaps tomorrow.. however... from what i read.. the end links connect the sway bar and it can be broke and not noticed for months since it doesnt' affect ur handling.... so my question is.. WHAT DOES IT EXACTLY DO? like.. does it eventually shake the Rear end of the car? since my rear end is kinda making noise lately everytime i go over bumps and such...
If this will fix most of my rattling / shaking issues with the car... man i will be one happy puppy!

end links attach the swaybars together. They do effect handling. Thats what they are for. To stabilize your car.
As for the shaking rattling problem, that may or may not be it. Low profile tires can cause that as well.
But if you have worn ball joints and end links get them replaced.
