Hey guys I am new Acura TL owner and new to AcuraZine! I recently purchased a 2000 Acura TL and installed a JVC Double Din and a 12 Inch Alpine Type R (w/ Alpine MRP-M500 Amp) when it is turned up I notice the normal trunk lid rattle but on the drivers side of the trunk (noticeable from the outside of the car) it has a baffling sound like air is passing threw something.. I have checked to make sure nothing is loose (i.e. Spare tire or any spare tools) and found nothing.. I am wondering if someone on here has noticed this sound.. I am planning on installing Dynamat eventually... but was wondering if there was a quick fix.. Thanks!

There is a vent on the drivers side behind the bumper, thats more likely what your hearing.


Not sure what the vent is for but every car has it

Thanks for the reply I wasn't sure on how to post it in the correct section lol.. I will have to take the liner out and check out that vent. Makes sense though because my previous car (2004 Honda Civic) made the same noise.. Thanks again!
