It feels and sounds strong, but I cant compare to anything previous as my engine that I replaced with this engine was a D15......in my 94 civic hatchback.... I just got this whole swap up and running a couple days ago... Still working on the hood....

So yeah....hauls ass!!

Damn I though you had a cl. Looks good and I'm glad you got it running. Will you be able to get your hood on with that manifold or still have to cut a whole

Yeah, cats outta the bag now!! lol

I used to have a 01 cl type-s. I really liked the car, but the dealer spent 6 months trying to get the title for it and never could so I gave him the car back and got a full refund. Love these motors.

I decided that having a hole in the hood was better than having a hole in my oil pan so I went with the mounts that keep stock ground clearance...but I have to modify the hood. I just slapped a junkyard hood on there tonight and rough cut a hole so I could shut it. Now I'm going to make a real nice, close cut template that I can transfer onto my nicely painted hood for a super clean, tight fitting hole.

I came to this site because its the best for these engines. So far it has been quite helpful and I'm glad I can help out some others too on my way..

Wow that's cool, post up some pictures when you get te hood done. I always like te fact that people put these engines in a smaller lighter car. I thought about it at one point but I barely fit the car I have now so going smaller isn't an option. Plus I like the luxury features of the tl so I'm sticking with it for now. Plus all the used cars around me are junk.

Update I emailed p2r today and this is the message sent back to me:

The problem your having is the bore on the adapter is bigger than the outer edge of the 01-03 cl-s/tl-s throttle body gasket. A easy fix would be for you to put a touch of Honda bond at the outer edge of the gasket.

So they know it's a problem and keep producing it that way. On top of that there are no instructions included with and certainly nothing mentioning this. This will be the first and last p2r product I buy in my life.

Yeah he should start making them and selling them on the side. It would be more beneficial to all of us and it would help find his projects. Not to mention you couldn't really run anything bigger than a type s throttle body otherwise it would be blocked by the p2r adapter.

I'm stuck out of town till Friday, but I had the acura dealer order me a 09 tb gasket so I could get the hole placement correct. Hopefully by the weekend is over I'll have one made
I may order a blox 75mm tb and make a 2nd one with the holes correct or just a blank where someone could drill their own holes for what ever tb they use

Also forgot anybody that swaps manifold off a tl-p will need new intake manifold bolts. The tl-p and the tl-s have different part numbers or the intake manifold bolts. The type s and the 09 tl share the same part number for the intake manifold bolts

That's cool it's not like I can't drive the car right now. Im still waiting on the company to respond that I bought the broken throttl body from. The cruise plate is broken and under full throttle it causes it to get stuck

As soon as i get JCharged's Blox tb im going to see if its possible to integrate both bolt patterns (blox/type-s tb's) so that if when you upgrade its easier

Kris, anyway to implement the IAT bung? I'm trying to find a solution for a quick weld in plug and play. Otherwise we may just have to drill the holes ourselves and use fittings.

I'll have to take a look. When I made the adapter for the 80 to try out I had to fab it up.

Thanks and I like the idea of using the IAT sensor in the adapter as well but I can work that out myself once we make sure it works

Another thing to try is to move the sensor down towards the cai filter. should give it a slightly cooler reading for the ecu which would help keep the ecu from pulling timing in the first place. Just a thought

That's an option I've been contemplating. Went out to buy a soldering gun, wires, and shrink tubing today.

Ok, so I have 2 adapters cut out (only one in the pic). Can one of you take a pic of the plate that the throttle body bolts to? I need to make sure that I get the plates welded in the correct orientation

I need to drill holes in the plate I made so that you can bolt it to the intake manifold. I have the gasket to mark the locations, but I need to know which way the gasket goes so that I drill them in the correct spots. I don't need the type s tb, do you have the 09 tb? I need a pic of the intake manifold where the tb bolts to so I can hopefully get the correct orientation
