Backseat dashboard rattle?

Backseat dashboard rattle?
I was wondering what did your dealer do for you to fix your rear deck rattle ( the one in the brake light area ).
Do they try to reproduce it, and then say "could not reproduce". Or they know exactly what you are talking about and know how to fix it?
I did number of searches, and have not found an official soultion to the rear deck rattles.
Thanks

my TLS has been rattling in the passenger seat somwhere.
And recently it started rattling somewhere in the dash.
My Chrysler 300M did not have any rattles (or tranny problems). My Pontiac Grand Prix GTP did not have any rattles either.
Now I get a superior Honda product and it is everything it is not supposed to be?

I would not be surprised if they start making Maxima in US as well.
You know ML Mercedes? It's made in US. And guess what, its the only mercedes made in US and gets the highest number of complains regarding interior quality, rattles and mechanical problems.

Ruski, ther have been many arguments over american cars and japanees every since america began selling european cars on their own terf, but many of the ppl that are working at teh plants puting out cars together, not all of them but many are the still true die hard ford and chevy lovers who would much rather see those cars succeed and then higher more jobs and go work for those companies then put together a good japanees car and see its sales soar, when i worked at BMW, in 96 they bagan assembling the cars here and i noticed that those cars were back in service within weeks with just simple but major assembly problems. Also keep in mind, if u ever take apart a pontica dash or enterior or a acura one, they are similar but yet diff in how they are held together and so forth, and when ur used to putting together one kind its hard to adjust to another, i can go on for a wile but no need, the 300m is a nice car, i wanna say prob a bit higher lever then a TL its on the RL's level, but the older acuras that were assembled in japan ran longer and better simple as that...

also keep this in mind, america began importing euro cars and seling them to make money on the import market and trade market between countries, and recently american cars have been pulling and coming out with nicer designs adn so forht, trying to increase their own sales and reduce the sales of euro cars, cause the trade doesnt pay as well as it used to and it makes more sence now to profit from ur own product then someone elses, u see what i mean, thats why the quality has shifted, needless to say, we are behind enemy lines purchasing a opisite side product in the car inudstry, watch what happends, but i see in future time many of the cars over seas wont be availabe here unless special order, a lot less then what we got now, just a feeling....

rysky007 - you have your own Russian dialect over there, na Kansashine.
Do you have any good Russian restaurants there?
Here in South Florida, there aren't many. I miss NYC in that respect.
Hey I wonder if Acura TL-S is popular in Russia. My friend in Moscow drives a Mark VIII when he feels like driving. When he does not, he is driven by a shauffeur in his Cadillac Limo (older, previously used model)

We had a russian restaurant but due to the good ol russian ways of clients and owners it had to be shut down after some ppl got sliced up and problems began, we only have about 7000 russians here, and shortage on russian girls, but its ok, keeps things simple, i miss NY also, and Vegas

Ok, lets get back to the original question -- what the solution for the rear dash rattle? I would like to know because I too have this problem. I sounds like if I get in the trunk and have my wife drive me around, it shouldn't be too hard to find the rattle because it's pretty loud (at least in my car). I'm just afraid my wife will drive my car into a lake or push it off a cliff while I'm in there.

I just got an 03 type s and reading through the manual and it said to avoid probelms w/ the tl later in its life for like the first 3,000 miles they say dont floor the accelerator or hit it hard and dont mash ur brakes. That could be a reason why ur tl's are always rattling? For right now i gotta drive me tl like a pu$$y. that sucks but its a lot better than what i had before.

mine is a 03 with 12k had it for 3 months now, dont have any back dash rattles, (knock knock) but many up front ones, when teh dash bends in the cold weather on teh raod.... but in reality every car has rattles unless its all made from leather not plastic and was hand assembled...

I'm from Acura-CL.com. Sounds like the same rattle I had on my 2001 CL-S. The problem is the 3rd brake light (above rear deck) is rubbing against the window. Dealer fixed it by putting tape (same tape they use to fix sunroof rattle) on back of brake light. Worked great. No more rattle. Good luck.
