ran a 14.89 @ 94.37mph. Met Chuck up there. Real crowded today. There was a 5spd altima there that ran a 14.5? He appeared to be pretty much stock.

I ran in D3 all the way.

Jdub it was good to meet you - That was a really good run. I took a video of it and noticed that the Mustang 5.0 next to you didn't win by much. For bone stock that was good and will probably get better. Hope to see you again.

 

Hey Jim. Yeah that was eb and the max crew up there. There's a guy with a 5spd I30 running low 14's.... you better watch out!

 

BONE STOCK. Didn't even lower my tire pressure or anything. Just ran like I was a stop light. If it wasn't so crowded I would have run again shifting from 1 to 2 to D3 to see if there would be a difference. I think I could have trimmed a little time off in subsequent runs. I came off the line like a punk cuz I didn't want to spin wheels but I think I came off too easy.

 

Congratulations on your times. Those are excellent for a stock TL-S. I can't wait till my local track opens up again. I will try a few runs in D3 too and see what happens.

 

Nah, not too worried about the 1/4 mile action anymore. My car is a "lead sled" too darn heavy and I love it too much to subject it to that sort of action anymore.
I'll probably test it once or twice more, after making my mods. That won't be in the near future, however.

 

JimWill, the A6 2.7T is an awesome car. Do you have any pictures of yours? There is a pretty sweet one up here in MA where I live. I am curious to know what that cat (and I did mean cat and not car) has under the hood cause its a 6-speed, has a lip spoiler, a sport decal on the grill and an aftermarket grill. Not to mention the guy seems to be in his 20s. The 2.7T and S4 have the same engine correct?

 

Jim W, has the quickest Stock A6 6 speed I have seen. I dont know how he runs 14.4's. Mad rowing skills I guess! : )

 

S4 and 2.7T have the same engine, same transmission and gear ratios. My only mods to date are upgraded bypass valves, 35% window tint, factory mud guards, Clearbra and a drop in K&N.

Wow, you just made me drool all over the keyboard! That car looks sweet especially with those rims! Have you thought about chipping that bad boy or even getting the t4 turbo (I think), which is the one in the european RS4? The turbo upgrade would be expensive but the chip on the other hand would be a great boost for under a grand.

I don't know much about audi's except that one of my good buddies has a chipped 1.8T A4 and thats pretty nice. A chipped S4/A6 2.7t would be pretty nasty! Ming, don't you have a chipped A6?

 

A chip only 6 speed A6 2.7T ran 13.6 at Carlsbad. He has added exhaust but has not been able to get updated times yet.

Heres just a short clip of the exhaust that was added, this was a Tiptronic car. 3 0-60's and then just a regular takeoff as if from a stopsign.

You should see Ming's car.
He and I have the same car, with the exception of his wheels. Same wheels, but in 18"s and the car is lowered.. Looks way better than mine.

Yea, I thought about chipping and exhausts, and one or both of them will be in my future.
I'm pretty sure that Ming doesn't mind me answering for him so here goes.
He's got a engine and tip chip. He runs 14.0 in the 1/4 mile. He has the ability to run faster than that, and in the future I'm sure he will.

 

Jim, not sure if you are the one I know that use to own a Max, but man, I have not seen a pic of your car till now, and its sweet!
