axxis to ebc greenstuff.

i used to hav axxis pads. the sound on it PISSED ME OFF. the squeals would go off anytime.. even light braking BUT it stopped me soooo smoothly and nicely. i loved how it worked with the brembo rotors, but again, the squeals could be heard from miles away. i let my friend drive it around the block and i was standing in front of my house, i heard the brakes from the other side of the block.. pretty loud too

i swapped the pads to EBC's and the sound stopped. its EXTREMELY quiet. almost too quiet. haha im not used to it. but why is it that i cant stop like i used to with the axxis pads? the ebc's seem to slip or something, well not really slip, but doesnt grab and grip like the axxis did. is it maybe because the axxis pads were really harsh? and that caused quicker stops and crazy squeals??

No, chances are the pad and rotor surfaces have not matched up yet, that is what happened to me. Drive awhile and the pads will conform to the rotor surface. It took me a few weeks but my EBC's stop great, in fact IMO unbelievable.

oh ok. i swapped the pads last week, so i guess i have to break it in a little bit more.. thanks. ive been hearing nothing but good things about the ebc's and i got disappointed when it was giving me better stops than the axxis pads did.
