avital 4000 remote start

does anyone have or used the avital remote start? I was wondering if it has good range?

My girlfriend had one in a Breeze befre she got the CR-V. I'm not sure which model she got but it had a range of about 150ft. without too many cars around her.

For models in its price range it has pretty good range. What type of range are you looking for?

I'm not sure what range, but as long as i can start it from my townhouse and my work it will be fine. The guy at best buy said it only has a 30-40 feet range. what should i do?

I would save a bit more to get something with a little more range.

someone told me that it is possible to add the remote start to our stock keyless entry remote. does anyone have any details about this?

The Avital 4000 has a HF+ antenna system. Look for Directed products with XHF or the new XR antenna system. These will offer the best range. The range should be in the 300 - 400 foot range.
