Average Miles for Brakes
Hey, just wondering, those of you who've already needed your brake pads replaced, at how many miles have you needed to change them? I have about 13,500 miles on my car, and do about 60% city driving, how much longer do you think I have until I need mine to be changed?

I have no idea.
But when they do go, I'm going to Trak Auto (or PepBoys). They maybe 'cheap' brakes, but they have a life time warranty on them. So when they run out, just bring them your old pads and receipt and you get a new set. Works even better if you have multiple cars...

If you still have the OEM pads, they will last you over 50k miles. My dealer re-surface my rotors twice and the pads were only 40% wear out. Bad PADS. They are too strong for those rotors. That is the reason they are re-surfacing the rotors for free at the dealer if they get warped and replacing the pads with new softer ones. Trust me, I wear out pads really fast. I wear out my pads in my 98' eclipse in less than 11k miles, and then again at 23k miles.
I drive hard and fast
I take corners like formula one
I brake hard all the time
Just the way I drive.
There you go.
