Smile audi A6 2000 headlight assy

a'ight guys I know this is acura forum but my dad's car need new headlights. I did tried to find both side but it's kinda hard to get it. The one that's on the car right now is turn into yellow and I think it would be better to get a new one (used is fine but need to see the condition). And the current one that on the car is Halogen (I guess) because it has projector lens but the light is kinda orange (regular) color.

So if anyone know where I can get it or any suggestion would be very appreciated.

My dad's car is A6 2000 with front wheel drive. And I tried to find the Xenon for him.

Audi service ask for $500 plus labor for Each side which...... O.o

Thank you very much

I would just refinish the front lenses and call it a day.

I have worked on many lights that were yellow. What you need to do is get 800, 1000, 1500, and 2000 grit sand paper. Start with the 800 going back and forth in one direction. Wet sand the headlight for about 15min if there is a lot of yellow. Then wet sand with the 1000 longer than the 800, and continue wet sanding with the others until you finish with the 2000. what you should have now is a very clear headlight with tiny little scratches in it. Now take a buffing compound, I use 3m's and rub it into the light, this will take out all those little scratches leaving the headlight clear. If you can take the headlight of the car it makes sanding easier. If not tape the surrounds and make sure they stay covered. Not only does this make the lights clear but it significantly improves the light output. I would say it tripled it on my 98 caravan.
