I would like to know if any of you can do me (and other TL-S owners) a huge favor. Here's the details: Today I went to get a quote from an Xpel installation shop on having the Xpel clear bra kit installed on my front-end and lights (including fogs) for my TL-S. The problem is the TL-S is in such demand (as well as new), that the company who produces the Xpel clear bra product (located in San Antonio) has not been able to produce a kit for the TL-S, since they cannot get hold of a TL-S from Gunn Acura in San Antonio. All of the TL-Ses at Gunn Acura are supposedly sold.

Basically, the manager of the Xpel installation shop here (Arlington) called down to the Xpel headquarters in San Antonio, and the guys down there said that I must have drove right from the dealership to the Xpel installation shop here, because they have had zero luck in getting a TL-S in, to make the kit because of the high demand and limited supply of the TL-Ses. They also said that they have been getting more requests for Xpel clear bra kit for the TL-S everyday. However, they don't expect to be able to get the kit for the TL-S, for at least 2 - 3 months, due to their inability of getting a TL-S in to create one from!

I'm pretty sure that I can get the Xpel people in San Antonio to do a free install of a clear bra kit on whoever volunteers to bring their TL-S into their facility.

I don't want to drive over four hours to San Antonio, but will if I don't have a choice.

Why don't they just get a regular TL? I maen, they are the same on the outside, rigth? Why can't they use one that is on the lot?

 

Yeah. The front of the 2002 TL is the same as the TL-S. BTW, why don't you volunteer if you're so interested in getting one?

Good point about the TL. I'll call them up tomorrow, and mention it. However, the TL-S also has the fog lights, but that shouldn't really make a difference. As far as me volunteering, I have no problem with it, but I live almost five hours away, and wanted to check with somebody who lives in the San Antonio area.
