Att: People w/ Strut Tower Brace

I'm thinkin about getting the strut tower brace for my car. Has anyone installed it and noticed a difference in the handeling? I know that there already is one there, so Im not sure how much adding another bar will do.

Plus, can people tell me the kind of strut tower brace they have?

Thanks.

Hi, I have one in my TL..when I installed it I noticed a small difference in the rigidity of the car. It made it feel more solid on turns, but not a whole lot. Click the link at the Top that says Suspension and u will see the different selections of Strut Tower braces.

or simply goto www.AutoCarParts.Com

Service is great and price is great! what more can u ask for?

There is a neuspeed add on bar.

Comptech made one, but I'm not sure if they will sell it. Probably with a big price tag. Comptech looks a lot like the stock strut bar.

DC sports is making one for V6 98+ accord, I just check and is out. Price tag $229. This one replaces the stock bar.

There are also Lower tie bars for our cars, but can't remember who makes them. CrazyAcura has them. I know the front and the rear are from different brands.

Tim should have all or most of this parts at www.autocarparts.com

The front lower is a modified skunk bar while the rear lower bar is a modified DC sports bar. Neither one would fit without minor modifications or else it would be sold on this site.

Not really other than him stating that it was mostly done by his mechanic. Maybe we should go ask him instead and get to the source. I'm kinda in a bind right now (like I dont have my car) so I wouldnt really care to look for the thread. I liked the skunk bar in the front, but the rear DC sports bar brings up questions about ground clearance.

If you want to an improve in handling, I will recommend you installing comptech sways. The strutbar doesn't improve a lot of handling at all.

polyurethene bushings will help stiffen things up as well. Don't know who makes them, but I'm sure there are kits out for the whole front-end and back end as well.

Thanks for the replies. So, I think there is a consensus that the sways will improve handling much better than the strut, right?

Without a doubt. I was under the impression that you wanted the strut bar before the sways because you were low on cash and wanted to add another mod in the sig. for the hell of it. (That's what I did...it was my very first affordable mod I think)
