Atlanta or SE
Myself and a few others are planning a fall trip to the mountains for some serious driving. This has been brought up before but now we have a confirming date.
We are planning on going October 20th, myself in the CL-S, A4, SC430, 330ci and probably a Z06. Pretty decent range in vehicle types... I was wanting to see who would want to go from the area, ATL/N GA, Mid-East TN and the Carolina's, and N. AL too.
The plan is to head out early from Atlanta. My group will leave from the Marietta/Woodstock area up I575 and group with others on the way. We'll head up 575 to Blue Ridge and then take Hwy 5 to hit Hwy 64/74 in Ducktown, TN. This is where I would assume we could all group up.
From here we would head up Hwy 68, which is a decent drive, to 360 and then to pick up 411 for a few miles. Then right onto Hwy 72 down to the real fun on Hwy 129. This will take us from about 1500' to 4000' while going through turn after turn, varying elevations and undulating pavement. Basically a roller coaster ride for 28 milkes. This is all on a road with trees canopying it and also opening up to some great veiws.
Here is a link to a map showing some of the road:

I wanted to see who else may be interested. You can post here or email me directly. Plan on an entire day, warped rotors and 1/4 life of tires...
