Question ATF Flush in San Jose

Anyone knows where to get service for a tranny ATF flush besides the dealers?

Here in south florida the best is tire plus, they have this machine (ever wear) that connects to your tranny cooling lines, which I belive only 99 TL's have this as 00 and above have water cooled transmission, but I might be wrong.

As the fluid goes by the cooling hose, both ends are attached to the machine, so all the old fluid that passes by the machine stays there and lets new fluid go in, pretty simple and very effective way, they charged me $39, because I brought my own fluid, Redline ATF high temp. Smoth as silk.

I rather do the $39 flush than doing the it by myself. The hassle of screwing n unscrewing the plugs..especially the top ATF plug . I don't mind the driving..cuz i love driving my car. I wish i knew a place in San Jose that does that.

you can try talk to john or sandy from exact motorsport (milpitas) 408-416-0061. i think they are pretty much the best shop around here. he does great work and there are always a lot of modded cars there. i go there for my fluid change for acura and lexus. tell them henry who has the tls and the gs400 refers you

you can bring your own fluids too

I called John at Exact Motorsport and he's charging $68 for the flush. It wasn't the price i was expecting compared to the $39 that Bitium got.

I take my TL to Los Gatos Acura. They used to have a machine that sucks out all the fluid in the tranny, but last time I was there, they were advised by Acura not to do that anymore because it might be one of the reason why the trannys are dying. The machine would suck the tranny and torque converter almost dry so when you start up and start driving it, it would wear out the tranny/torque converter real quick. This is what the Los Gatos Acura servcie dept. told me.

the is why this ever wear machine is so good, your tranny always has fluid, nothing gets suck out, is just exchange, gotta love it. the engine is runing when this is done, BTW.
