Alright... I know that just about all cars will have a little rattle or squeak here and there... but from experience, what make of car do you think are best assembled (less rattles and squeaks) Thanks much.

1993 Toyota Camry LE (4cyl) a.k.a. High Performance Racing Machine.

The thing is built like a tank for what it is.

i've experienced rattles in mercedes and bmw and acura and opel and porsche and etc etc, i don't think it a big problem at all, most people over-react about them... yes i know they are very annoying at times, but a car is made of thousands of big and small parts, it's hard not to have a single rattle or squeak at all

anyways, i do think that audi has very nice quality, even though they handle like heavy front-drivers that have slow reactions :p

toyota(lexus) is also known for very good quality, they focus more on quiet cabin than engine performance, or lack thereof

Wow... that just made me feel even better about my brother's audi 2.8 quattro... I mean comparing to the two bose systems... I think mine costs 1/4 of his. Other than that there are alot of extra qualities that I've beginning to see in Audiz.:wow:

Yeah, that's what I was told... that lexus make excellent quality cars in terms of quietness... btw... How long ago did your dad get the car?

I think nothing is ASSEMBLED better than the Japanese cars, your Acuras, Lexus, Nissan etc... this is in terms of build quality, engine longevity, maintenance, even interiors on the new ones.
but for some reason I never like the way they feel when driving. The steering wheel has no resistance, the doors feel light, the front wheel drive torque steer, the spongy brakes (obviously I'm generalizing)
I know the build quality on my bimmer (96 328ic) isn't great, actually it sucks for the $$$$, but when all is well and good with the 3 and I take it through the twisties, it always manages to put a big ass smile on my face, regardless of whether or not I just payed $500 to fix a non-essential part, or make one of the dash lights go away. I guess thats more important to me. That being said, I'm at 110,000 miles on the original tranny and engine and it runs like the day I got it. I'm prettu sure thats where BMW spends all the money, engine and tranny. They sure as hell didn't spend much on the interior.
I guess the compromise would be MB. The build quality is fantastic, and they definitely feel like an autobahn cruiser, with the exception of that stupid hatchback thingie.
