ash tray help needed
I have an 01TL about a month old. The little change tray where the ash tray would usually go will not close fully. It gaps open about a 1/2 inch. Nothing seems to be jammed in it that I can see. Has this happened to anyone else?

Sounds like you have a coin jammed behind the tray. I had the exact thing happen to me and had to remove the center console to get it out.
Good luck.

Same thing happened to me because i filled up the coin tray with the coins and few of the went in the back and the tray would not close ! but I was able to just take the tray off and get the coins out. One of my friends did it. I will call him and ask him how he did it.
Till then please leave as is.
Thanks

no, u don't have to remove the whole console. Its just the coin tray that will come out, and you will be able to remove any coins in the back of the tray easily.
When this happened to me I was trying too hard to remove the coin tray and then I gave up. My friend asked me what happened and I told him I gave up with this stupid thing and then I left. Next day he tried it and he was able to remove that coin in like 5 mins ... and then he called me at work and told me that the coin was removed.
I was surprised, but I was not there at that time to look on what he did so, i have to call him up and ask him how he did it. I did ask him at that time but to be honest i forgot what he told me. he lives in boston and i will call him today and let you guys know what the trick was.
Stay tuned.
thanks

Hey Guys,
I am sorry, I just spoke to my friend and he told me that he was not able to take the COIN TRAY out but yes, this is how he took the coins out of the tray.
Just open the coin tray half, and then take a screw driver or something pointy and take those coins one by one and pull them up, or bring them down. The bottom part below the coin tray comes out.
Let me know if you guys need any help with it.
Thanks
