Arm Rest on Rt Rear Door

2003 TL-S: The arm rest on my right rear door is seperating from the window control panel. Spoke to the dealer and they said this is a symptom of aging; car has 112K on it but is in great condition. To replace arm rest the quote was over $230+. Any suggestions as to how fix at a lower cost??? Thanks!

Do a search and you should find a detail info on how to fix it yourself. If you are not a diy repair type, look for a used one and replace the panel.

This is a DIY on repairing it from the CL but it applies to us as well

if so:

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/diy-door-peeling-experimental-way-693646/

its not hard at all to fix.

oh and welcome to the forums. there is a big diy thread that is stickied at the top of the page and there is always searching. these two tools will be your best friends for the next few months while you're still learning the basics.

welcome to the forum but learn how to use the search feature before anything. There was a member(Slusshy) that just posted a way to fix this with the tools needed and pictures it is still on this first page of threads.

Here is a link to it for you. His method works i used the same one.
