" APEXI VAFC feedback"

What's up guys! Well, I'm ready for..... perhaps what would be my last performance mod. I have as you know (CT Headers, CT Icebox, Custom B-pipe, Ground wires, TB Spacer, IK20 Plugs, etc)

So, I'm doing some research on the old and new generation APEXI VAFC. From what I've read for the TL in particular, and from what I know based on experience with other vehicles.... The goal here is to smooth out that power curve, perhaps engage VTEC a bit sooner to really take full advantge of it in every gear, and not jeaopordizing our engine.... with that said.

I want to hear from those who "have installed and tuned" their VAFC, and tell me:

1.What were your gains (whp and torque)
2.Did you really feel the diffrence in the power curve in your daily driving
3.How is your gas efficency
4.Any other comments

Please only reply if you have this item installed and dynbo tuned on your car, or if you have good and constructive knowledge to share about this application. There is so much out there about it, telling you nothing. I just want to create a thread that will have helpfull information and facts, for future reference.

Thanks guys!

I was looking at getting the VAFC a little while ago and ended up changing my mind. From all the research I had done I found that it would be more effective on a DOHC engine. Since we have a SOHC we wont notice much of a gain. I think a few people found that they gained 3whp or some irrevelant number like that.

Im sure this is all info that you are quite aware of so think of it as a free bump and hopefully someone who sees it will have more info than me.

Thanks for your take on things... Even if I don't end up doing this mod, it will be accurately and seriously documented, in this thread.
