Can you keep me uptodate (as well as everyone else I guess) as to what your thoughts are after the install -- i'm really interested in buying these and I am worried about the resonance driving me nuts on a dayto day basis.

the resonance is not bad just make sure you tighten those bolts then retighten them after a week or two.

I LOVE MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was very worried at first, but after the install I have no complaints. Actually just one. Miami is to Fvcking hot, I wish we had some colder days so that everything would run better.

Late,

i got my obx installed few weeks ago. I can't say if i actually like it or not...i mean i definitly feel the power at v tech and above but i've lost so much low end power it's ridiculous. and sometimes i feel like i've lost more than i gained...maybe i need a dyno to prove this but i'm going to the track soon, so i'll keep u updated.

I am happy with the power gains and actually don't mind the resonance that much. Honestly is can get annoying but you don't hear it at Highway speeds because its only in the 2500-3000 rpm range. At WOT you won't hear it either because the car never dips below 3500 rpms. Only time I hear it is when accelerating from a stop and the rpms hit 2500 rpms and then its gone.

Some people hate it some don't mind it. Good Luck.

I put headers on first, and notices the resonance. Once I put on the intake, the resonance died down quite a bit. Maybe it's just that I now hear the intake a little more, but it did seem to make a difference.

I don't have a resonance problem with mine....maybe I don't know what it is supposed to sound like, but I don't hear anything out of the ordinary.

Did you or anyone lost any LOW-END power with the comptechs?

Your comptechs don't even resonate at wide open throttle??

How much quick did you "feel" your car to be after installing the comptech headers and intake?

Thanks

Comptech headers don't resonate. At least not that I can tell with the SS exhaust. I had my mods installed by Park Avenue before I even drove the car, so I wouldn't know the difference. What I can say is, the headers have great low-end torque. I can smoke the tires, but I don't. I let them hook-up first.

Comptech headers seem to thrive with VTEC. If I gun it at 80 mph it just takes off. Gone. Seeya.

JUST PUT MY OBX'S ON THIS MORNING AND I LOVE THEM! IT ONLY TOOK ME TWO HOURS IN MY DRIVEWAY ON RAMPS. NOT BAD.
THERE IS A NOTICABLE POWER DIFF AFTER 3K AND HAVENT HEARD ANY NOISE FROM THEM BUT THAT MIGHT BE BECAUSE OF MY "POOR MANS ICEBOX" NOISE.

JUST DO IT!

P.S. the ox.sensor is about 1/2"+ from tranny, no issues there.

hey jon here you go,as it is fresh in my mind.

12mm&14mm sockets(good 6 point sockets)
about 12"s of socket extensions
adj wench for ox.sensor removal
possibly a drill and bit just slightly larger than the holes in the exhaust manafold(to correct possible misalignment of obx holes)
about two hours of your time

I have OBX headers, no istallation problems, little resonance around 2700, noticeable power difference, worth the $400 IMO. Pics in the sig.

Well I just finished putting on the headers to my car. The OBX headers are a good and I just have nothing but good things to say, but I'll spare you guys that. It went smooth with no real setbacks besides the fact that we lacked a few tools but we got around everything. I had two good mechanics working on my car and they got it done in less than 2 hours, more like 1.5 hours. But yeah, I feel the power and they look great. I just love them!

I had them put on in early July and I love them. At first I did not notice any gains, but after a few days I felt it. That's weird that someone said they lost power down low, b/c my car feels the exact same down low.... but over 4k RPMs.... watch out baby!! I do have the resonance, but it doesn't happen every time, and when it does happen, it's right around 2800rpm and it's for a millisecond.... to it doesn't phaze me in the least. The sound actually seems to blend with my intake and exhaust

I got mine installed last Thursday and I LOVE IT! I don't know what I'm supposed to listen for, I even had my friend sit in the car and he didn't hear anything either. I haven't experienced the low end loss either. It feels the same and like Juniorbean said, after 4k, it's VrooooommmM!!!!!
I love it, I'm so glad I got them, I don't know why everyone doesn't have at least OBX headers, I can understand comptech is crazy $$ but OBX is less then $400...if you don't have it...GET ON IT!!

Mine have been in for 6 months and along with the resonance, now there is a constant ticking upon acceleration. Any Ideas?
