Anyone with TLS gauges on 99-01
I just finished installing mine after having them laying around for several months. I just wanted to let everyone know that you can get the VCA light to work with the TCS switch and indicator signal.
I took a thin 20 or 22 guage wire and stripped the end to wrap it around the gold prong on each end or the light bulb that comes out from the TCS spot. Then I moved it over to the middle where the VSA spot is. Remember each prong on the bulb has a thin wire wrapped around it. Turn the bulb until it sets like the others. Then take the other end and solder the wire to the corresponding metal lines where the TCS light was. Remember not to use a lot of solder, you need a really small drop and you don't want it to fall in the hole. No the light comes on when the ignition is on, when the car's tires spin and when you turn off the TCS.
By the way, what is that big triangle light with the exclamation point for on the TLS gauges?

I found the tcs light very annoying, me personally, I know when my wheels are spinning and what the car is doing to prevent it...I dont need some annoying yellow light telling me...The guages work fine, except for the fact that you dont really pay attention to where your redline is when you are shifting from 2-3...For instance you could be in SS, and see another car that you wanna race...Its real easy to listen to the engine and shift, but sometimes you will hit the rev limiter if you arent paying attention...I think you can shift up to 6650rpm's and not have the rev limiter kick in...I have tried to see when it kicks in, and this is when I usually shift and not have any problems...I read in the manual that the rev limiter is for engine protection...From my understanding, it shouldn't hurt your car if it kicks in...Shyne

I have a 2000 and I wired the TLS gauges so that the VSA light comes on whenever the TCS light used to. So you are telling me that big triangle is also for the VSA? Why 2 lights, the VSA and a triangle? If this is correct, when is it supposed to light upon TL-S's?
