Anyone sell their P and buy S??

I'm thinking to sell my 00 TL-P and buy a used 03TYPE-S($10000.00 cnd diff..)do you guys think this is very stupid to owned 2 almost the same car(both are WDP)??my friends and my neighbours will not even know i charged the car.the reson why i want to do this,it is because TYPE-S has more power, newer, and i can move all my parts,I/H/E/ ,Tein,18 rims ect.....I wnat to hear more from you guys, should I change it??

I would in a heartbeat if I had the money. I really like the look of the 2nd gen TL and an extra 35hp to play with would be fun! I will probably just drive my car till it dies (long time) then buy the best Acura has at the time

I went from a 99 to an 01 S type... I had a lot of tranny issues from 35K on... The extra ponies were a lot of fun... Off the line there was not too much difference, but as you climb into the RPM range the S model made a diferrence with the dual stage intake... It had more lungs than the non S model...

I traded my 2000 TL-P with 18,000 miles for a new (at the time) 2002 TL-S.

I like the TL-S much better and I am glad I made the trade. I stuck with the same color combination on both. Nighthawk black with tan interior.

i went from a tafetta white 00TL to a 02 WDP type s last week and i love it, the 02 has a few more features besides the added HP. You will like it , if you really want to stand out and have the money get an 04-05 , i like the way the 02 looks and like you said being able to swap mods out of the old car was definitely a plus.

Since I stayed with the same color most people did not even know that it was a different car and I didn't tell them. The only person who really knew that I changed cars was my wife.

I made the change because I wanted the increased hp, 6 cd player, fog lights, etc.

Good luck with you choice...

I say you should go ahead and get the Type-S because it is a definite improvement over the '00 in a stock comparison, but get the Type-S in Aegean Blue Pearl! White Diamond Pearl is definitely beautiful but the change will definitely be noticeable and not something you'll dislike, trust me!

I sold my '99 and bought a new '03 Type S.

Be prepared for a much harsher ride in the Type S. (Thus, more rattles too.)

I really notice very little difference in ride quality between my 2002 TL-S and non-S models I have driven. I notice one whale of a juice difference, however!

I'm not sure where you live MaxBuck, but here in Baltimore, the roads are shit. I notice a rather big difference between the TLP and TLS in ride quality. And my '99 with 75K miles had less rattles and squeaks than my current '03 with 20K.

I'm guessin you live in Canada like me. I think you're better of to go with a slightly used 04. It will be a little more, but its sooo worth it. You just can't beat that interior! And power is more than the type-S (but you knew that). But who am I to talk, I have a 1st gen TL still!
