Anyone know how to remove the outer door handle?

As the title states.
The spring broke off cause I heard a snap when I opened the door.

pull off the interior door panel and get to the outer door handle from inside the door,
door handle will two rod with clips one for the lock, and one for the handle] then there will be a 10mm nut/bolt holding it on
just be happy it's not a ford exploder where you have to drill out rivets for the handle to come off

Okay, I'm at the part with the rods.
I'm still confused, I already took of the 10mm bolts on the door handle.
How do those come off?

how does what come off the rods? The plastic clip has to swivel off to one side, then the rod can lift up and out.

If you look from the inside, there is a rod that is connected to the outer handle.
That's where I'm stuck; don't know how to remove that.

there should be a plastic clip, if not, then you have to disconnect it from the latch/lock itself

Oh man, good luck. I had to replace the rear door handle too. I still haven't put the lock back in place, haha.

Is it the rod that's holding the spring or the handle?
Can I just go to a hardware store to buy a spring?
