that would know of a reputable transmission shop/rebuilder? My TL-S tranny is exhibiting some problems. thanks

Why spend good money on rebuilding a poorly designed problematic tranny ?
Your best bet is to have a local shop install a used '06>'07 Accord V6 tranny. Check with your local salvage yards for an "AV6" tranny from a low mileage donor Accord V6. Try to see the car which it came from to make sure the front didn't take too bad of a hit. Oftentimes the salvage yard can recommend an installer for you.

These "AV6" trannys are of a newer and much more improved design then our original 2nd Gen TL's. The donor tranny should cost less than $1000 and labor about $600. An excellent cost effective alternative compared to rebuilding your old worn out tranny. Check the previous posts on this replacement option.

If you still insist on rebuilding, your best bet would be an independent local tranny shop or an import specialty speed shop. Should be a shop within a 50 mile radius of your location. Check the "Regions" sub-forum for more localized assistance on a recommendation for a shop.
