Anyone have pics of stock TLS wheels with spacers?

I'm considering this shamefully cosmetic mod because I like the TLS wheels other than the offset.

Opinions?

This may be a silly question but I don't understand this whole offset thing so well. Adding the spacers will push the rims out more right? For example adding a 5mm spacer is like a +5 offset?

yea why would you want to push your wheels out side of the wheel well??? by doing that you are going to RUB!

Spacer pushes it out making it like a -5 offset.

I would only consider doing 5mm.

I don't want to turn my car into a Mustang but one central reason why M3's and RS6's look better than the TL is due to wheel offset.

Thanks. Interesting idea... at 5mm it'll be only a slight difference huh?

that wont make it look like a m3 or a rs6. they just have bigger wheels and wheel flares to accept the bigger wheels. adding a 5mm spacer is only going to push your tires out further making them stick out and the possibility of rubbing

Also keep in mind that all the wheel nuts will have 5mm less thread travel as well after using the 5mm spacers.

Anything over 5mm is dangerous. Guys with the Wilwood, and Rotora Rotors need spacers, so try and find some of their pics.

I know what you are talking about Hemants, the factory wheels just sit so far within the wheel well. Thats another reason I love how the 19's look on the car even when dead on from the front or back. Honestly 5mm wont even be noticeable. Pull out a ruler, and see how small 0.5 cm is.

if you add a 5mm spacer to the stock wheels, you will NOT rub. the stock wheels (TL-S) are 17x6.5 with a +55 offset. with the 5mm spacer, they will become +50 offset. considering you wont rub on a 19x8 with a +50 offset, i seriosuly doubt you'll rub with 17x6.5 with +50 offset.

with the factory sized tire on it wont rub bit if any of them have upgraded the tire size to 225-235 they will start to run into that issue. i have 225/55/16s(factory wheels) and if i were to add a 5m spacer with people in the rear seat i would rub, cause it just misses by a fraction right now
