I was wondering if anyone has gone up against a 05 Auto V6 Mustang with a 99 tl 3.2? I wonder how our cars go up against it stock for stock. I can't go against one now because my engine light is on and I have bad tires. Plus I see no point racing a stock car on the track or just stock period.

05 Mustang V6

210 hp @ 5300 rpm
240 ft-lbs @ 3500 rpm

99tl auto V6

225 hp @ 5500 rpm
216 ft-lbs @ 5000 rpm

i went against like an 02 GT mustang the other night from a 30 roll, went all the way to 130 and it was neck in neck.

I could tell you I raced a 05 Red Stang LX and he beat me by a little. I have 2000 TL. It's the torque and the lightness. He also has a brand spankin new car. However I just picked up my Type S over the weekend and I'm sure it'll be a different story.

a 05 LX MT will beat a stock tl-p by a little. weight isnt that much of a factor those stangs are pushing 3500lbs I believe. a 05 LX AT should get beat by a stock tl-p by a little. It's pretty even I would beleive.

my friend got a 03 v6 stang w/intake and exhaust, i have a stock 00 tlp and i burn him
the 03 v6 stang only came with 190 horse crap!

The 05 mustang weighs about 3300, the tl weight about 3461. Does that make a difference?

that 161 pound is another person. So yes it would make a difference. Not to mention they got more torque than u.

The 4.0L SOHC '05 is less weight than the GT with the V8 so 3300 sounds about right...maybe a little heavier than 3300. On paper, the TL-S should own the V6 Stang. Would be a driver's race between TL-P and V6 '05 Stang (I'd bet on the Stang).

They're rated at 260HP engine HP and 300 ft/lbs of torque. The 5 speed is a low 14 second car. High 13 second car with a good driver and a couple low buck mods. Not sure what the automatic '02 GT runs.
