Anyone change the panel lights?

Pardon my probably incorrect use of terms here, cuz I really dunno what they are called! I was thinking about changing my boring panel lights (Tachometer lights the correct term maybe?) on my 02 TL-P to blue lights! Imagine the newer VW golfs and jettas. Anyone know how I might be able to do it? I asked a couple of garages, both of them said the light is only several bucks but the labour would proabaly be $100 at least! That's nuts! so help me out?

did it and it was a *****.....with the leds.....you cant just replace the stock bulbs with blue leds cus leds tends to have direction on them, the reg. bulbs spreads light all over....there for it has to be done custom ...what i did was place a cellphone led behind each of the buttons and then wired them up .....its took me 3 hours but i got it it and it looks great now...i have no pics at this time but the labor alone....GEEZ i cant explain...other than the fact tis a b*tch....if anyone is interested in buying the led and trying them self im selling the leds in the forsale forum.....their about 2 bucks an led...hope that helps
