quick response!
Awesome! I think we have quite a few ATL TL owners here!
I am sure we can come up with a date & central place for everyone to meet.
I live in the NW outerskirt of ATL...
Based on everyone's feed backs, I think Alpharetta would be a good place for everyone...
suggestions??

yeah, warrenty work has to be done via an Authorized/Qualified shop. it's always been this way. however, in between the fine lines, I have seen where a "3rd party shop" has a qualified "MANUFACTURER MECH", who can also (in replacement) do the work.
But I will remember Nalley Acura as an option. Thanks.

Pics of a joint Lexus Acura meet I set up last year. There were more Legends than anything. TL/CL people RARELY show (but love to post). The Legend guys/gals always do, a great group.
I'vetried to help and invited plenty of times to no avail. Your on your own. Good luck.

For warranty work do you have to go to a dealer? Maybe Nalley Acura on Cobb Pkwy? In the Marietta area I've found Alan Cox Automotive to be very good, they work on HondaAcura only.
I have Been both places an TO ME... they both SUCK B/C they take too Long an claim to know what they are doing an also can never call you to update on your car. Alan Cox(almost 2 full day put in my header on my Integra)
Nalley Acura(to repair front BUmper an painted 3-5 Days at the Most...Took 15 business day to fixed it. Lucky got a Free rent CAR.

Wow, maybe I've been lucky to go there on good days.
I've had Alan Cox install several items including the header and I've never had a problem.
I had Nalley install my suspension and everything worked out perfect, a little pricey though but no squeaks or rattles.
I never encountered delays because I always brought my parts for installation (I get the stuff I really want cheaper online than what they offer).

Ed Volye Acrura servise was great when they replace my Trans. I dropped it off on Saturday and they rented me a "chevy caverlier" SUCk i know, but they called me back on Wednesday morning informing me that my car was ready to be pick up. That's including losing my key, and made me a new key plus new remote control. The servise was now bad. Just they don't have loaner car for me, which made me upset.

another acworth in the house
I am also from acworth area, abp type s plain no mods I have had good luck with Alan Cox and I will tell you about Nalley tomorrow. My early thoughts based on previous trips to nalley was that I have seen better service. I will see how they do me with my warped rotors. Started noticing them around 5k miles driving down 75 and having to brake; first a slight vibration, now it is bad. Hopefully they will do the right thing.

Glad to hear there are so many TL owners around me... makes me feel even better about my purchase. I've been away from this forum for quite sometime and I have a few questions I'm hoping you guys can help with.
I have an '02 TL Type-s w/ navi with approx. 32K miles. Besides regular oil changes, I haven't really done anything to the car.
First question: besides oil changes/tire rotation, what should I be doing to the car? Tune up? How much of the "scheduled" maintenance is really necessary? I used to work with a guy that would swear most of it's only a way to fatten the dealer's wallet.
Can someone please give me the skinny on the transmission issue. I feel like mine is acting funny. When I let take my foot off the accelerator, it feels like the car slows down, almost like I go from 4th to 2nd. I've read a few posts here that say their tranny failed them and then they took it in. What should I be looking for?
Any recommendations on where to buy 17" tires? I don't need them right away, but I figured I would start looking.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

Atl here, ITP. I'm pretty boring though, no s-type, no navi... There was a girl who worked up in Norcross with me who had a white TL - S. She said her husband did the mods. She had wheels, ground effects and debadged, It was soooo clean I just droooled every day as I walked pastit. She doesn't work there anymore, I don't think. I miss her car. She was pretty hot, too... When a guy gets his girl a car like that, though, he says to the world, "you ain't got a chance in hell!"

Last time I brought my car in to Alan Cox, I think I saw a Honda/Acura meet on 17-APR-04 listed on their calendar. I don't know where it's going to be held but maybe we could meet up there. I'll find out where it's going to be.

I found out that Alan Cox will be hosting the Honda/Acura meet at their store/shop on the corner of Cobb Pkwy and Bells Ferry on Sat. 17-Apr-04 from 10-3. I plan on going, hope to see some TLs there.
