Any Problems/Drawbacks with any CAI's?

I finally think I'm gonna add on an CAI and some other stuff until the 2005 comes out.

Anybody ever have any problems with them?

Also does it affect the engine life ?

I am getting rid of mine. I am tired of cleaning the air filter. It is to low to the ground and hard to get to . I know I'm lazy. I also am on the 3rd bypass they keep splitting in half. My Comptech Ice Box is on backorder as we speak. I do like the sound of the CAI and it looks better than the ice box. In my case ease of cleaning wins over looks and sound.

I've had my AEM CAI for over 2 years now and it is music to my ears.

Actually it helps the engine breathe better.

I've had my CAI for 2 yrs now also and love it. The car breathes better and sounds great when you get into the VTEC. Cleaning it can be a pain but well worth the results in my opinion.

I had my CAI for about a month. I was expecting it to give me performance feel like when I got my header installed. Instead all I got was added noise and my car already have problem with too much noises. The other problem is hydrolocking. I live in FL and I drove thru a rain storm (and my car is lowered on H&R sports), I really don't want to worry about that. The other thing was on my friend's car, his by pass value almost got stuck into his engine (improper install).....thats the other thing I'm worry cuz that prick helped me install mine too. So about a week ago I went back to stock air box with K&N filter.

How is it improperly installed? I thought it can go on only one way.

No it's not. The only thing that happens when the filter is dirty is the air flow is reduced. The car will feel pepier once you clean it.

Yeah I dont thikn I want to risk the 2004 with all the quality trouble acura seems to have....I always think buying the second release of a new model is usually 50% better in quality.

or....at least that's what I think. Though I still want a 540
