Anybody know if the tranny failure rates correlate to vehicle build dates in any way? Just curious because I know there were spikes in the failures but don't know if anyone captured build month and year on the vehicles with failures. I know that the warranty extension covered a lot of model years (2000 thru part of 2003?) but it would appear that there were many good trannies installed over those dates as well. At least that would seem true if the 5 percent failure rate that Honda is claiming is true.
