Any aftermarket trim kit to replace black "wood"

Anyone know if an aftermarket trim kit is available to replace the black "wood" trim in these cars, preferably something in a brushed aluminum finish ? I know there's the OEM kit for the CL, but that'll only provide the trim for the center console.

If you are talking about the wood trim on the doors and center console, then no. The door trim is affixed with melted plastic rivets, so they are not readily removable. I took mine off, some by cutting the rivets and some by melting them, to paint the trim platinum. I've already painted the center console trim, and it looks pretty good. I followed NSXNEXT's instructions. Do a search and you can find his instructions and pictures. To reaffix the door trim, you need to either re-melt the rivets, or insert new screws.

The reason why so few people have done this mod is because, if you screw up, you really screw up. You can't just buy the wood trim from the dealer. You have to buy the whole door panel.

Rather than painting, others have also put silver or faux carbon fiber vinyl film over the trim, but I didn't do that because it sounded like you would need talent for that.

Stick with the wood. The aluminum looks abysmal.

Thanks - I checked out the ap-signworks one; it's a bit too much for my tastes. The NSXNEXT project is waaaay over my head. All I'd really like would be something to replace (or cover) the black plastic wood trim on the doors & console...

Here's my painted trim. And yes, it is not a project for the faint of heart.
