I need to replace mine, the plastic housing got cracked, was wondering where to begin. Looks like I need to do it from inside the car, remove that little black cover on the interior side of the door (03 TL, heated). How do I get the mirror lens itself off? Does it pry out ( carefully of course)?

 

WHen you remove that little cover on the inside of the door theres i think 3 nuts you need to remove and a harness that should just unplug, that will get the mirror off, if its still feels stuck up try a hair dryer if theres adhesive holding it on the car too. I don't know how to take the glass part out , it might be easier to figure out once the mirror is off the car, the replacement one might even come with a new mirror.
