Another Park Ave Acura miracle!

This past Friday, I took my car in to Park Avenue Acura for service and some other repairs. I had a long list of things but I felt bad mentioning all of them. Tom, the service advisor took my list and wrote all of it down for me. (nice guy )

Here was my list:
1. 37,500 mile service w/ mobil 1
2. Steering wheel shakes when braking
3. Passenger Ash tray is peeling (never used)
4. Driver and Passenger seat cracked
5. Car Idles low when warm starting
6. Rattle coming from the engine
7. Rear Passenger Window loud when you put it down
8. Transmission shifts hard, gets stuck on a gear, etc. lots of tranny problems

Friday evening, Tom gives me a call saying that when they were replacing the leather my seat, they found that there was something wrong with the seat heater and it couldn't be done until Monday or Tuesday. When I picked my car up, this is what they did.

1. Performed service
2. Replaced front brake pads and shaved rotors (warranty)
3. Replaced ash tray (warranty)
4. Replaced both seat covers (warranty)
5 & 6. It turned out that I have a bad pulley. (on order - warranty)
7. Replaced window regulator (warranty)
8. Flushed my transmission multiple times and added fluid (warranty)

Can you believe that they did all of this work under warranty?? I am SOOOOO happy with this dealership! They are the best! I am so amazed with what they did for me! From now on, they are the only people who are going to touch my TL.

P.S. Thanks again to Tom, Wayne, and all the service guys!

Good to hear!!

But you do know that Acura reimburses them for all that work, right?

Who gives a flying *&^*%*^ if they get reimbursed. They are the best dealership, bar NONE!. They truly take care of the customer. Most of these other area dweebs in NJ don't know their a$$ from a hole in the ground. Kudos to Wayne G and his gang.

As well they should! That way Acura is forced to focus on better build quality to improve their bottom line.

Yeah I know that Acura pays them for the work they did under warranty but any other dealership would pass the bill on to the customer. They saved me so much money and I really appreciate it.

Thanks again Park Ave

Oh man, I think New York may be a bit too far to drive for service.

Yes, the warranty is by the manufacturer. I bought my car at a larger area Acura dealer because they negotiate more and had better selection of used cars. I'm on my fourth Acura, bought my cars at three different dealerships, but have always gotten warranty service at one same dealership due to their better service.

Park Ave. Acura sounds like they have their act together, its amazing that dealerships don't aggressively treat customers well - especially Acura owners - we've proven ourselves to be brand loyal - that can easily transfer this loyalty into where we get our cars serviced.

There must be some behind the scenes issues on how dealerships get reimbursed from manufactures, otherwise why would they jeopardize their relationship with the customer so often?

If your in Akron/Canton/Cleveland area, Park Acura in Canton has always had good service - family run and they own a Honda and Acura franchise. I want to give recognition when its due to these superior dealerships.

yep...... they charged me big time ... i didn't, at the time, know that the brake warp also under warranty .....
but they fix my door switch good .... took them 2 days to fix it though .... but charge me rental for that extra day too .... because they ran out of loaner and rent me an Enterprise car ....
Next time i look at the receipt careful before leaving the place.

I don't think i have lots of lucks (some luck but not a lot) with them ... and i bought the car from them ......

Acura of Denville, Bridgewater Acura all sucks ..... Maybe i try other dealers next time.

I would DEFINITELY call Wayne Gruen at park Avenue Acura at 201-587-9000 and tell him you are a frequent contributor to this board. I can guarantee he will listen to you and act accordingly.

Big Monkey- call me at 201 587-0029 as soon as you can. I need to review your case. Unless there are some extenuating circumstances I don't know of- we need to do something!

TotalLuxury- is the noise like a clunk-clunk as the door closes but before latching? If it is as the the door swings- it probably is the door link- that metal lever that goes between the door and the door frame- kind of like the doorcheck on a screen door. It has a cam and spring mechinism that you cant see inside the door and it is possible for it to become noisy- call me if you like and I'll try to help.
