Question Another noob question?

Is it normal when you start the car that the car's doors locks automatically? It also seems to me my car struggles when I start the car these days!

Yes it is normal, for my car anyways. Safety feature within the alarm system I think. if the door is closed, it will do that. If the door is open, then it shouldn't lock. Don't know about the starter though. Mine takes a little more time sometimes, but it doesn;t bother me much.

Mine don't on my 2003, and they didn't on my 2000 until I put in a car starter...dunno if it was the way the installer wired it in or what, but after that it'd lock on startup...

I was just reading the manual in my 2006 TL yesterday and I recall seeing an option where you can set the computer to lock the doors when the vehicle hits 10 miles per hour. I don't recall the other options but check your manual and you'll see what other options are available to set.

If this starting problem is new, I'd check battery. It might be going bad.
