Another Broken Bracket!
Dammit....I think I broke another sway bar bracket! I was at work....took a turn too sharp and my right rear wheel caught the embankment. Later when I did the finger check, my left side has a 2 finger gap...and my right barely 1.
I'm going to go ahead and buy BOTH sides...but can SOMEONE PLEASE tell me where to go to get these f*ckers re-enforced?! By myself...I'd probably replaced sway bar brackets more than everyone on this board combined!

Do you have any pics? I'm in the process of making stronger brackets and links so i would like to know what part of the bracket is breaking and how. Are the bolts ripping through the bracket or is it flexing causing the metal to work harden and crack?
I have a feeling if you make the bracket stronger something else will break.

You are correct Dan...USUALLY endlinks break first...but in this case, its quite the opposite.
P.S.
I double checked and I dont think they're broken anymore. I redid the finger test on a level pavement and its fine now. I think I may have been parked on an incline before. Regardless, i still ordered the replacements and seeking a better alternative than replacing them every year.

seems to me that if the brackets keep failing, the sway bar's too stiff. i trust you still have the 'race' bar. it's probably the reason why it was taken off the market--not for street application. we are 're-engineering' our cars with every mod we undertake, particularly, in the performance aspect. even if you're able to reinforce the brackets, something else will have to absorb the forces from the sway bar. good luck.

Looks like it could be very easily beefed up

True, the bracket is the weakest link so if you beef up the bracket and the end links, the next weakest link will fail.
