Another brake pad question. Help!

I think I may have bought the wrong pads for my 2000 TL. Not wrong as in they will not fit, but wrong as in they are going to kill my rotors. I bought the Axxis Ultimates from a guy (kbass888 great ebayer by the way) on ebay, but when I searched the forum for Axxis to find out which rotor was used with the Axxis pads most I did not find the Axxis Ultimate only the Axxis Metal Masters. Did I goof, or am I OK with this pad?

No you didn't goof, you can use Ultimates but the bad thing about them is that they are Ceramic brake pads. Thats means you will be replacing them in 20-30k because the ceramic coating will wear off. Also just because they aren't listed here, doesn't mean you can't use it. It just means they don't carry it here.

The brake pads, from what I have heard, are good. You just need to get some aftermarket rotors to go with your new brake pads. That should solve any rotor problems.

I thought that too but from what i've read on here, even aftermarket rotors and pads will warp too. I think the brakes are just undersized for the car.

Aftermarket rotors will warp, but it will not warp as easily as oem ones. As long as you properly brake in your brake pads/rotors, it should not warp. Water will also warp your rotors, so don't wash your car right away after you park. Let the rotors cool down before you wash your car.
