Another 2000 TL headlight problem

I am at my wits end with some headlight issues on my 2000 TL and really hope someone here can help.

When in dim mode my right headlight flickers and the bright light is dim (like its supposed to be). When I put on the brights both the dim and bright light goes out completely. The left side works fine.

I have replaced the dim and bright bulbs on both sides. I have also replaced the ballast and ignitor with a used set I got on ebay. The photo showed it plugged in and working before purchase.

I should have gone with an aftermarket kit but I am into this thing for 300 at this point and need to figure out what the problem is. I have searched all the threads I can find and have not seen one that addresses a similar issue.

HALP!?

Could be your wiring on the right side, maybe something shorted out? If you can't figure it out you can always get a slim hid kit from amazon, they are less than 100 dollars

Hey MS556, if ya know for sure that the problem has stayed on the right side, even with a new bulb and a replacement used Ebay ignitor/ballast unit. Ya never know for sure if the used unit was good or not, but if any moisture or corrosion was present.....check the wiring connectors and grounds. Also try swapping the right to left HID relays.

If all else fails, check out the site's vendors in Black Market for HID replacement kits.

I found the problem. A frayed wire was grounding against the frame and it blew the fuse. I checked it before I installed the new unit and it was good. Because of the flickering, I thought it was getting power. I guess the ignitor bypasses the fuse.

Thank you for the suggestions.
