Aluminum Trim?

Does anyone know if there exists an aluminum trim that'll replace the factory wood trim available?

Hey Chien...your interior looks really sweet. That's exactly what I want to do also. How hard is it to remove the woodgrain panels?

i ordered the stuff chien and jeffytl used and i wrapped the stock pieces, i did the front 2 first just to see if i liked it and if i was going to take apart the door panel and wrap those too, but i must say wrapping is real hard, air bubbles show up and you just get so mad, and the vinyl get these little lines in it when you work with it, it matches the black leather alot better but it just looks a little fake and homemade when you look closely... took 2 pics of the front 2 stock pieces

first time i used a blow dryer to soften it but then it started loosing its adhesive so the second time i wrapped it, i didnt use the blow dryer even tho that make it easier to work with, the vinyl creases when i work with it, yah it looks a little fake when its on the car, i dunno if its cause theres air bubbles and i didnt wrap it good or what.. i used A5 Silver vinyl

I think the reason why it looks fake might be because of the color u chose? do u got any close pix to post? I got these old pix but they don't look fake to me...

which part r u referring to?? the central pieces or the ones on the doors? central pieces were a breeze to take off... but door ones were a bit complicated... I think FAQ has a very good detail explanation!

You guys have been MORE than helpful. I've tried to use that vinyl stuff before and let me tell you it is a B**** to use.
I think that I'm just gonna take off the pieces and have my body shop paint them for me. What colour do you guys think would be the best...I have a black interior like Chien.
I was thinking some sort of metallic silver with a clear coat...what do you guys think?

Hey Chien,

I've checked with my body shop and they told me $350 for the job. What do you think?
They're gonna paint it the same colour as the shifter plate where the shift knob is...I think it's a titanium colour. They will also put a clear coat on so that it's shiny and less scratch resistant.

personally I think that's too much for just 6 pieces... and how are they gonna paint it? the trim won't stand the high temp....
350 for 6 pieces?? how about I do it for u for 200 by vinyl??

The paint should hold up fine with the temp because I had it done on my Civic and there was no problems at all..no cracking or scratching what so ever.
I agree that $350 is a little steep...it's actually for 7 pieces but whatever. I'm gonna try and get him to paint some other pieces at the same time for the same amount of money...maybe the door handles, and the pieces where the window buttons are...any other suggestions?

The shift plate where the shift knob goes through the gears. He's gonna repaint it because there's some scratches on mine and he's gonna clear coat that as well.
