Angry Almost got Ripped off!!!

Hey people,

For starters would like to thank all you people for posting great information and opinions on this message board.

Few days ago, my TLS almost got ripped off!! I was parked at a apartment parking structure when some person tried to rip off my car. In Hawaii, it seems that the TLS interior and the rims seems to be popular among thieves. I don't have a killer sounds ( the factory sound system) and I have just the OEM body kit so I could only think that they would be interested in the interior and the rims or just parts.

As far as the damages are concerned, the passenger side door handle, key cylinder needs to be replaced, and the door needs to be touched up ( painted and blended) for the screwdriver scratches. Hope the body shop could match and blend the color well.

(My Opinion) It seems that when the economy slows down the crime seems to go up. So everyone..Please be careful.

Aloha,

Almost gone in 60 Sec.

Ok, I've never been to Hawaii... but where would you go if you stole someone's car. You're on an island! And I thought it wasn't a very big island, either.

Also, what stopped them from getting your car? The stock alarm? Aftermarket alarm? Or did someone catch them in the act?

With that logic there would never be any thefts in Manhattan, which is an island only about 8 miles long!!! LOL

Where in 808 did this happen? My folks live up in 808 so I've spent quite allot of time there. And yes, crime goes up when the economy goes down. It seems more so in HI then here in crappy NYC where it's crappy 24/7. (Take Waimanalo for example).

When I was helpimg my Dad build his house, we had some SOB's come over during the night and steel a bunch of tools from the site. I know it was the crackhead one of the contractors brought over that very day but we had no proof. Needless to say we went around to the pawn shops looking for our sh!t!! To no avail. Those shops are probably thriving right now, most all their stuff are hot!
