To all TLers with a BBK
I want to purchase a BBK for my car ( 03 TL-S). The question that I have is will these fit on my rims? I have three sets of rims that I am hoping all will work.
1). Falken Torque 5 (courtesy of BraveDemon) 19x8 with +42 offset
2). Volk SF Challenge 18x8 with +48 offset
3). Stock 17's
I know the size of the wheel matters but I am still unsure about which offset will clear the calipers. Any input would be appreciated. Also, can you tell me which BBK you guys are using, your experience, and a good place I can buy them from? Thanks guys.

about the only ones i would question would be the oem rims. What BBK are you looking at

OEM wheels will probably require spacers. The other two, I don't see a problem unless you are planning on some huge calipers.
Caliper clearance also depends on the spoke design, not just the offset.
For what it's worth, 18x7.5 42+ Enkeis have like 20mm of clearance on the Rotora BBK between the spokes and the calipers on my car.

The stock 17's will require at the very least a 5MM spacer as has been verified numerous times over. The 18's are questionable; they probably won't but it doesn't hurt to a have a spacer on hand just in case. Just buy a universal 5 lug spacer (5-7MM) (should cost about $20 from a local parts store). I'm pretty sure it will clear the 19's.
Also if you're interested in a ROTORA BBK or any other BBK let me know. I have a ROTORA BBK coming in stock anyday with the red caliper. $1250 shipped

5mm spacer works with the stock TL-S rims with the Rotora BBK. Trouble is our stock rims are hub centric...trying to get those spacers in ther and the wheel torqued down and not have vibration is nearly impossible! Ive read about other members here getting spacers made that retain the hub centrcity, but havent found out where or how they got them made yet. Might be a good thing to get for all of us TL-ers that have BBK's and want our stock rims for winter use!...or even year round use.

Think they will fit? Thanks for the input everyone. This forum has been the most helpful place ever. That's why I've been around so long.
Oh and some of the older members may remember my car, the one with the HUGE APR CARBON FIBER WING. Lots of criticism about it, but thanks to some expletive thieves, that is no more. And some of you also might remember my attempt on the 6speed swap, well guess what, the front clip is on its way and preparations have begun! Thanks again all.

Thanks man. We've done business together before and you can be sure that if I decide on the Brembos, I will come to you. Can you get your hands on either the Endless BBK or the Project Mu ones? If you can get them for me, even at a slightly higher cost than what what is listed, I will get them off of you because of the good experience I had last time. +1 for Excelerate!

if you are doing bbk, size of the wheel is a factor but more importantly the disk matter more, most high end wheels offer high disk option to clear bbk, for the single piece affordable falkens they do not offer different disk, but volk sf challege comes in face 1 or 2 to fit cars with bbk.
i remembered the endless kit is 13" but is super expensive at around 2600, talk to Dana or Rishie at automotive R N D, they are US distributor for endless. they could email you a cross section of the bbk to check if your wheel fit
there # is 1 408 635 0000

Any other options out there. Oh and Rev-01, you think you can quickly give me some more explanation on that disc thing?

Yea, it uses the same parts listed for the 98-02 Accord V6. The only thing that confuses me is that REV-01 says there is one with a bigger rotor but the site lists using the OEM size rotors. I am going to give that # a call in a bit.

Frank (RZ UA5) has spoon 4 pistons calipers
I have wilwood superlite 6 pistons calipers, it's a slim caliper so it can fit the stock wheels with a 5mm spacers

I talked to the guys over at automotive R&D, no luck. The only brake kit they have to fit the TL is the 4pot calipers with a rotor size of 282mm. What is the stock size rotor anyway? I think I might just suck it up and go with the brembos but I do want something different.
Samkws, you think you can give me some more info on the setup you have?

you can use either dynalite 4 piston or superlite 4 or 6 pistons
price are vary depends on the calipers and the rotor size

Thanks man. I appreciate the help. I am still leaning towards endless brake kit. The guy over at automotive R&D is trying to find out if the calipers will fit onto a 13" rotor from brembo. But if it doesn't work then I might have to just get the wilwood. Thanks again.

I think the endless S2k brake kit should fit our TL with no problem. I believe our front brake is same as the S2k so you only need to worry about your wheels spec & clearence, but dont quote me on the rear brake tho. Also I agreed with what samkws says, Its not necessary to get the rear kit to be honest..unless for shows then thats different story.

Hey Rz-UA5, the spoon calipers you have on your car, are they meant for the S2K? If so, what year and does it matter? You still have any pics?

the spoon is universal caliper, but the caliper bracket is meant for S2K but I m not sure if year does matter. I will ask my shop next time I dropped by to see what they say about the Endless. I will keep you updated.
anyways, here is a closer look.
