My name is Ken, I own a 2000 Silver TL Navi. I don't even have 40 posts yet, so you could still consider me a newbie. I read mostly, finding information and opinions on mods for our cars. As some of you are aware, almost a month ago I was hit from the side by another car here in Raleigh. It was a hit and run, and no, the suspect still has not been found and probably never will be. Getting to the point, 2 days is all I have left and my insurance company will stop paying for my rental car. The problem is that the part I need is on national backorder in the Acura park network. I've been told from many dealers that the part isn't available on the continent and may not be for some time. This presents a problem, as my TL is not driveable without this part, and that I don't want to pay $30 a day for a crappy Saturn. No one could provide me with a solution, so I turned to my last resort: I emailed Tim (Snook) with a cry for help. We emailed back and forth 3 or 4 times in an attempt to locate the part. He indeed does carry it, however he won't have it in until later. Well, at this point I have received special authorization from my insurance company to use a used part from another TL, which I will do as I can have my car done by as soon as tomorrow by this route. Sooo, delimma solved. However, when I turned to Tim, I didn't have that option and he responded to my emails very, very promptly and curtiously. I cannot believe that he actually could get the part when so many Acura dealers could not nation-wide. Mucho props to Tim for that one. Unfortunately, after all that trouble, I have a slightly quicker option of a used part, and will not be ordering it from Tim. However, Tim's personal level responses and prompt service to a person who has never ordered a thing from him before did something: it earned him a customer for future plans. I plan alot for my car...chrome 19's, body kit, suspension mods, etc. I was so impressed with Tim I decided that I will most certainly order from him in the future and I suggest all TL owners should too. This kind of curtious customer service is nearly unheard of these days and very hard to find. My sincerest thanks to Tim and his work finding the part. Though he didn't get a purchase for this particular part, I will no doubt be ordering from him in the future. Please acknowledge Tim and his hard work on this site, designed especially for us...his work and dedication is definitely appreciated by many of us, including me.

Thank you for reading this long-ass post.

Ken

The way Tim runs his business should be a model for all other small busineses, partnerships and corporations. He has always been helpful and hardworking, so I won't get anything he sells from anyone else! Just the fact that Tim has this site for us is an indication that he is always out for our interests! Thanks Tim!

i agree, with all this bad rep that acura has, feels like he is a dealership all on his own!
"TIM'S ACURA" and tim's acura parts department!
seriously i think i would be very unsatisfied with my tl(esp wid no mods boring car!) without the website(all the nice members) and the man himself!

Tim is the best. If he had was selling the car instead of parts he'll be the top salesman for the TL year after year. I personal think how he handles us as people not just as profit makes me want to buy stuff from this site. I don't really have questions or even feel scam or uncomfortable of buying anything off of Tims site. I know he trys his best to give us good prices for our parts and that feeling of security is what brings me to this site.

Everything mod on my car is from Tim,
Mr.T

SO many kind words and all of them true.

Yo Ed - move this to the Acura-TL Customers FAQ section. Positive feedback is always good
