All 2000 TL owners, plz help with yr input

I am thinking if I should bring my car in for the seat belt buckle recall. They (both front) have already been replaced once back in June for noise problem. When I read the description of the recall (came out on 8/27/01) on the NHTSA web site, it says during the time of March 09 thru July 27,2001. Some non-compliant seatbelt buckles may have been used for warranty repair or product update repair. I went to different dealer closer to my home, they didn't seem to know about this recall. The adviser still asked me to bring the car in and the recall infor this weekend. Any 2000 owners have similar situation?? Should I let them touch it??

I hadn't had any problems with the seatbelt, but its probably a good idea to let them take a look at it.

I think because Acura has a record of mine being replaced during that time period which the dealer used non-compliant buckles. No one else with 2000 TL received a recall letter??

The Acura letter says that's no immediate danger, it's just that you might not be able to unbuckle after an accident. "So you are trapped in your car" (I added the quote) . However, the NHTSA recall description says the passengers might not be properly restrainted in case of an accident. Either way, that doesn't sound too good.
