Alarms!!!
I've read on random forums before that people have taken Lexus keys and BMW keys and even Audi keys and swapped out all necessary components to turn ours into a single key/fob unit...now I KNOW there are tech wizards here that can totally do it...the question is, does anyone wanna get something together and do it to see? I certainly do! I liked having my old BMW key and remote in one package instead of carrying them both around..
Thanx!

Hey Pooh,
You coming to the PA Meet at the KOP Mall Saturday? Check the Meets forum for info.
As for the key, I've seen stuff on Ebay, but none of them integrated the buttons from the fob.

When I had my alarm put in on my Accord, I didnt have to carry around two remotes. Just one. What they do is they disable the passive alarm that comes with our cars, and this way only have one alarm. The only drawback is you have to use the aftermarket alarms remote, and can't use your factory remote.
What I would really like is if someone can inegrate the aftermarket remote into the factory remote there by not loosing the dam memory seat feature that our keys have, when opening the door. Is it possible?

Anything is possible.
As for the two remotes, Pooh was referring to having the key fob and key as one unit, like the picture above. A lot of car mfgrs are doing this. My bet is Acura will do it for the next car, maybe the new RL.

NSXNEXT: I didn't know there was a meet there...but I would definitely love to go! I live literally about 3-4 minutes up the road from the KOP mall...I'll check it out! Keep me posted!
NYDesi: I have never heard of any other fob other than the factory one that can retain ALL of the little quirks...memory seats and stuff...so...I dunno...what do you mean about only carrying one remote? I think I misunderstand here....
Thanx guys!!!
