ALARM Going off at 12AM???
ALARM Going off at 12AM???
The factory alarm is going off for some weird reason... I parked the car on the driveway at about 7pm around 12 the alarm went off for no apparent reason... it was just sitting there i went to go check it out and everything was closed and there was no signs of a break in. I started it and took it around the block. I came back parked it locked all the doors and 2min later the alarm went off again with me standing right in front of the car and so on...... with it being untouched.... I have no idea what to look for.... The panic buttons and both the fobs were also untouched WTF is my car possessed?? i have it now so that the door is slightly open so the security system cant activate.
Everything is all stock there no aftemarket installs or anything owned the car for 7 years first time it has done this..

For the hell of it, this has happened to me once, check to make the trunk is closed all the way. You have nothing to lose, I would just go around and close each door and finally pop and close the trunk. :shrugs:
i have the same issue and i have had it back to the dealership twice paid them over 300 dollars to replace a bunch of door actuators and such in the drivers door, and nothing. then they had the car for a week and said they never could get the car to do it. so i have just dealt with it for the last year or soo. i think i have my problem narrowed down. might be the same for you. try when you lock the door do it manually. now when you push down the knob push it down hard, it will feel like it stops only momentarily and then if you push a little harder and then it will go down maybe an 1/8th inch more. try this and make sure it is down as far as it can go and my alarm hasnt gone off for like months. i think it just needs to have the connection in the door adjusted. i have been too busy to do it myself but one day i will get to it. if this doesnt work then i dont really know. do a search and you might find other things. you can try locking the car with only the key and leave the fobs at home. if it goes off again when the fobs are miles away then it eliminates the fob as a problem. check battery read that it has happened on other types of cars.(low voltage) GOOD LUCK!!!
oh and the only solution if it is your actual alarm is disconnect and aftermarket but you loose memory seats when car is unlocked with different fobs!
